Cape Cod - Page 1
We decided to go to Cape Cod this year to cool off and see some beaches, eat some good seafood and see the lighthouse that is shown on the Cape Cod Kettle Chips bag. Felicia, Susie and I flew to Boston and drove down to Cape Cod, which was about a 90-minute drive. We did fulfill our mission of seeing lighthouses, beaches and eating good seafood.
During our week on Cape Cod, we drove from one end of Cape Cod to the other – twice. We took ferry boats to Nantucket and to Martha’s Vineyard, walked the beaches, ate ice cream and looked at beautiful 200 and 300 year old houses and towns.

Beware of sharks. Great White Sharks were out so there were warning signs on most beaches. The Stephen Spielberg movie Jaws was filmed mostly in Martha’s Vineyard.
This is what I wanted to do at Cape Cod – eat lots of fried clam strips, clam chowder and see empty beaches.
Martha’s Vineyard
We took a ferry from Hyannis Port to Nantucket one day and spent a few hours there. I did not take many pictures, we mainly stayed in town, sat in a few bars and ate ice cream. It is very expensive to bring your car there on the ferry boat.
A few days later, we took another ferry from Woods Hole down to Martha’s Vineyard to hang out with the rich and famous. We took a 3-hour tour of the island, walked around town, and came home. I think I liked it better than Nantucket.
