Poutine in Ottawa April 2024

In April of 2024, I spent three days traveling to Canada and back for what should have been a telecon.  Flew on Air Canada from DFW >> Toronto >> Ottawa and then back the same way.

We were there for such a short time, that I saw very little of Ottawa, a very old city and the capital of Canada.  My photos of the Parliament Building did not look too good because of rain and construction, so I lifted this one off of the internet.  Ottawa shows very heavy British influence, in architecture and government.  Many people speak French or speak English with a French accent.

From what I have seen on the west coast, Canadian Rockies and in the east, poutine seems to be the national food of Canada.  I am a fan.

Poutine is French fries covered with brown gravy and cheese curds. I got the poutine shown in my photo with extra cheese curds and smoked meat on top. It was great!
