Kendra's Summer in South africa

Kendra went to South Africa and spent 2 months doing a wildlife photography internship at Kruger National Park.

We were very proud of her, she had a chance for a good once in a lifetime trip and she took it.  She travelled by herself from DFW to London, Heathrow to Johannesburg, South Africa to Hoedspruit, South Africa.  She was picked up in Hoedspruit and driven out to her camp at Kruger National Park, which is one of the few places where you can see all of the “Big 5” African Species.

Kendra started sending us amazing photos of the animals near and in her camp.  She met a lot of new friends from all around the world.  Some were there to learn about and practice wildlife photography, some were volunteering to help out.

Kendra stayed at the Oliphants River Camp in the Greater Kruger Area of South Africa, near the town of Phalaborwa.  They got up really early every day to see animals at sunup and then went out again at sundown.

When Kendra got back to Dallas after travelling for 30 hours, she was smiling, tanned and wanted a shower and then some Mexican food.
