Above is high speed train from Stockholm to Linkoping, Sweden. We bought 1st Class tickets but we could not read or understand where the 1st Class area was so we sat in regular seats until ticket taker kicked us out
We have been back and forth on the high-speed Eurostar Train that goes under the English Channel between London and Paris several times. It is a fast and low-cost way to get from the UK to Paris and rest of Europe.
The Flam Railway is a pretty famous sightseeing train in Norway, going from Myrdal to Flam, Norway, down about 6000 feet. This is not a fast train, there are many curves, tunnels and stops! We got off the train at Flam, at the end of the Aurlandsfjord to get on a tour boat and see the steep walls of the fjord.
We took a train tour somewhere in Southern Canada along the east coast of Lake Superior. We started and ended on Canadian side of Sault Ste. Marie. It was very empty there.
