We have travelled on large car ferry boats to get us between islands, across large fjords along the coast and to go between countries.
These old photos are from 1998 when we took a large ferry boat between Dover in the UK and Calais, France.
In 2004 we were on car ferries around the Seattle, Whidbey Island and Vancouver areas. Chilly ride but excellent scenery
In 2018 we took ferries in Norway to cross large fjords and to go between islands. The ferry boats operate 24/7/365 as they are considered part of the highway systems
