In Feb 2016, I flew to Midland and drove with Bart Wolf and Bobby Lee to Ruidoso. We made it in about 4.5 hours which is pretty good time. We would have made it quicker but Bart had us stop for drinks at a shady bar in New Mexico, about 15 miles from the nearest town. Bobby and I felt lucky to get out of there alive.
We stayed at Bart and Laurie’s cabin in Ruidoso near the Inn of the Mountain Gods. There had been a lot of snow in Ruidoso at Christmas time and the snow was still good. A day after we got there, Laurie and Leslie drove up. We had a good time there at their nice house and we skied hard for 2 days.
