The currency in India is the Indian Rupee.
A man pushing a cart down a busy street in New Delhi.

Here are photos of the 100- and 1000-rupee notes.  One US dollar was equal to 52 rupees, so the 100-rupee note is worth about $2 US.

See monkey on fence above my head? It almost jumped on me while Paul was taking this picture.

My first corn pizza – everywhere has different tastes.  I do not think that this will be a big hit in Texas, however Indians in general eat more healthy foods than Texans do.

Here we are at 7 AM waiting at New Delhi airport to catch a flight to Mumbai.  The air travel seemed pretty safe in India even though we had heard that the airline companies were all bankrupt!  Sounds just like American Airlines.

Larry and Paul ready for work at 7 AM Monday. We arrived Sunday night at about 8 PM
Tuk-Tuks all over India

Nice banner signs when we got to airport in Mumbai.  Mumbai is the home of Bollywood and also where the film “Slumdog Millionaire” was filmed.

Shown are Paul and I getting our pictures taken so we could show somebody where we had been

Waiting for the bus to work just like us.  The mass transit is better than it is in Texas.

These people are very smart and hard working

Building construction is different in India.

First, there are millions of unfinished buildings.  I have seen that around the world.  Complete 90% of the building, do not finish and owner does not have to pay the taxes on the building.

They use a lot of sticks to prop up roofs, walls and new floors, even if they are heavy concrete.

Ice cold water in a Mumbai restaurant looks good but is dangerous for us to drink.  I stuck with a canned soft drink.  Even Ajay does not drink the tap water there in India

Long day at work.  We are waiting in Mumbai airport for the fight to Hyderabad.  This was on Wednesday and we were tired and the time difference had caught up with us
