In April of 2010, Larry Rexford, Ken and I returned to Taiwan.  I did not think we would be back so soon.  We met up with some L-3 guys to work another program with CSIST – Brian Stelly and John Payne.  We stayed for a week again but did not spend any sightseeing days.  We worked in Taipei and in Longtan, working again with Saikal and Tai-e.

Classy!

We drove to the city of Longtan and stopped at a light.  I looked over and thought I saw a man standing at a urinal.  I did see that and had to get out camera for a Strange Picture.

Menu from a very good dinner hosted by Tai-e.  It was good food and company and there were a lot of toasts involving some unidentified drink.

Betel nut ladies are scantily dressed ladies who sell Betel nuts at small shops on the side of the road.  Many people chew on these as a stimulant or picker upper – the way we drink strong coffee at Starbucks.  The Betel nuts stain your lips and teeth.  In Taipei, police make the girls wear a lot of clothes, apparently on the south of the island they wear bikini tops and G-strings.  Their stalls all seem to be marked with bright green neon lights.

We went to a shop that makes shelters for trucks.  No OSHA there – there were no gloves, goggles, glasses, boots.
