We spent two days busy days in Queenstown, the adventure capitol of New Zealand.  We had a lot of fun, I wish that the ski areas were open, I misjudged and we missed getting to ski in the Southern Alps of New Zealand by 1 week.  Maybe next trip to New Zealand we will get to ski!  We did take a 4WD trip through creek beds, over hills and up/down steep slopes, that was fun.  We went outside of Queensland to the Deer Park.  Also did a fun jetboat ride.  Queenstown is on Lake Wakatipu.

We had rented a big A-frame house looking out over Lake Wakatipu, it was a beautiful, cold view.  Queenstown is not too large, it was easy to get to all the bars, restaurants and shopping downtown.  These pictures are from our cabin, we had a wonderful view of the lake and mountains.

Kendra taught Larry how to play chess.

Susie, Larry & I took a jet boat tide down the lake and up a river.  The water was very cold and very clear.  We had to put on raincoats to stay dry and warm.  we drover very fast, turned very fast, got wet, went upriver to see crazies bungee jumping off bridge.  It was a good time.  Felicia stayed in Queenstown with Kendra, they went on a slower tour boat.

Felicia and Kendra got on an old cruise boat and went to a working farm to see some animals, see sheep being sheared and see some sheepdogs herd the sheep around, putting them where the owner wanted them.

Kendra had fun feeding sheep and deer.  Not many kids get to feed deer.
