and I flew up to Grand Rapids, Michigan to go to our friend\u2019s wedding and visit with our old neighbors, the Rosendale&#8217;s.\u00a0 We stayed in Holland, Michigan and did some sightseeing that included seeing Lake Michigan.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The Grand Rapids and Holland area was settled by the Dutch, and they have a lot of very good breweries there, but you can\u2019t do breweries all day for four days, so we drove up and down the coast, visited, looked at Lake Michigan, and looked at the giant sand dunes around the lake.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>We had been to the <strong><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/stonetrips.com\/?page_id=9368\">Upper Peninsula of Michigan<\/a><\/span><\/strong> before, this seemed very different except the water was very cold in both places.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section and Douglas, Michigan.\u00a0 Both very nice towns for summer visits, not sure I want to be there in the The reason no one is on the beach is that it was still cold (at the end of May!) and windy and the water was about 60\u00b0.\u00a0 I put my feet in the water, but that was about it. We did not see anybody swimming and only a few boats sailing.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section
