On day four in Costa Rica, we were picked up by our driver Greban, in La Fortuna and driven southwest to the central Pacific coast to a beach town called Manuel Antonio to the Hotel San Bada. We got to see a lot of the countryside and drove from the mist covered mountains down to the playa or beach area. We stopped for a break and Kendra bought some Lychee fruit. We also stopped at a bridge over the Tercoles River to see the crocodiles laying in the sun waiting for one of us to fall in.

Manuel Antonio Beach, Costa Rica
The Hotel San Bada was 2 blocks from the beach but it was right next door to the entrance to Manuel Antonio National Park. The park is a tropical rain forest with the most diverse wildlife in Costa Rica. The hotel was also right next to tall jungle tree with some crazy leaf, stick and poo throwing monkeys who happened to mess up my nice clean white shirt. While we were in Manuel Antonio National Park, we saw three kinds of iguanas, monkeys, racoons, sloths and crabs.
On our fifth day in Costa Rica, we got up pretty early to get a guided tour of the Parque Nacional Manual Antonio (that’s what my ticket says). Our tour guide Esteban started us out early so that we could see all of the critters before it got too hot and bright. Finished off with a swim at the park beach
