In 1994 I took Felicia on her first ski trip and we went to Ruidoso. The weather was bad and it was raining
at the bottom of the mountain. I was afraid she would quit and not come back the next day so we drove my
old Honda to Santa Fe. We stayed downtown on the old square in a hotel that looked like the Pueblos. Our
first day there it had just snowed 8" overnight and the snow was just perfect for her to learn to ski. She was
tough and tried hard and by the end of the week I had a good ski partner who was hooked and wanted to
come back for more.
Downtown Santa Fe. I think that
this was a La Quinta. It was nice
and 200 feet off of the main square
where all of the Indians were.
Road trip across New Mexico from
Ruidoso to Santa Fe. Sometimes
I would look at the speedometer when
Felicia was driving and she was
cruising at over 100 MPH!
Felicia, Susie and Larry doing the mandatory
group pose. Its too hard for any of us to get
an action photo

She thinks she's so tough, I bet she
fell down right after I took this!
Good hats are seen everywhere
Another goofy hat. It looked like
Elmer Fudd's but it is very warm
and I still wear it.
Felicia and I rented a cabin in Ruidoso. I never could
build a fire in the fireplace. At least I did not burn down
the cabin. The man and woman who owned the cabin
were from Dallas and he was an engineer. His wife
had other ideas though,
