We started out in Albuquerque by going to the Petroglyph National Monument that is just outside of Albuquerque.
There are thousands of Indian petroglyphs etched on the lava rock on some fairly high mesas and cliffs. There are
several park entrances with trails to let visitors see some of the more accessible petroglyphs. This is a good way to
spend some time when you fly into Albuquerque and don't need to rush to the ski area.

Below are some photos of the High Bridge over the Rio Grande River. The bridge is located just outside of Taos and is cool to stand on and
look off no matter how many times you have done it. It is a Stone familiy tradition to spit off the bridge and help the Rio Grande River out.
When you are out by the bridge and look at how dry the surrounding countryside is, you would never guess that there tall mountains loaded
with snow just few miles away on the same road.
