On our last full day in Costa Rica, we drove from Manual Antonio north to xxxxx and took a catamaran cruise looking for dolphins, whales and whatever else we could see. We got a good tour of the coast all the way back down to the beach at Parque Nacional Manual Antonio and then we stopped for some snorkeling, swimming and jumping off the roof of the boat. I got pretty sunburned and lost my watch. I do not know why I always ask for some sunscreen until it is too late and I am bright red. We had fun on the cruise, they fed us and gave us some drinks and let us sit in the sun..
After hiking and swimming in Manual Antonio National Park, we cleaned up and took a taxi up to a restaurant in Manual Antonio that was recommended by our driver and some guide books. It was called El Avion and it had an old C-123 cargo plane that looked like it had crashed into the jungle. They built a very nice bar around this old plane and we had a few beers and waited for the rain to stop. We tried walking further into town for some shopping but at this pouint in our trip we were a crew of crippled people hobbling around with sore muscles, sore knees, sore ankles and painful sunburns. We caught a ride back to our hotel with a taxi driver who knew how to call up the howler monkeys that were hiding in the trees watching us. Bobby learned how to howl at the monkeys.
On our last day in Costa Rica, we were picked up by our driver Greban again for a 3 hour drive back to San Jose. We were all tired and burned but I had a wonderful time and think Costa Rica is a pretty good place to visit
